What is Mosadaqa?

Mosadaqa is the official attestation of your degree by the Saudi Arabian Cultural Bureau in London, which represents Saudi Arabia’s education ministry in the UK. It confirms that your degree is genuine and comes from a recognised, accredited institution, so Saudi authorities can accept it.

Do you need it? It depends on your occupation and visa route. Some roles need Mosadaqa, some need QVP, some need both, and some skilled trades use SVP instead. The Investor Work Visa doesn’t need Mosadaqa at all. If your degree was already verified by the Cultural Bureau, you may not need it again. We confirm before you pay.

Which degrees can be attested?

Accepted

  • Bachelor’s degrees from recognised institutions
  • UK and non-UK degrees from accredited universities
  • Standard on-campus degree programmes
  • Master’s degrees, once the Bachelor’s has been attested
  • PhDs, once the Bachelor’s and Master’s have been attested

Not accepted

  • Distance-learning degrees
  • Online-only programmes
  • Honorary degrees
  • Diplomas, HNDs and other non-degree qualifications

Master’s or PhD? Degrees are attested in order: Bachelor’s first, then Master’s, then PhD. Each level is a separate attestation at £275, so a Master’s holder pays £550 for both.

Degree from outside the UK?

We can still arrange Mosadaqa, but the Cultural Bureau may ask for extra steps first. We assess each case and quote them separately.

Legalisation

Verification by the education ministry or foreign affairs office in the country where the degree was issued.

Saudi Embassy attestation

In some cases, by the Saudi Embassy in the country of issue.

Translation

A certified translation if the degree and transcript aren’t in English or Arabic. Translation service

Frequently asked questions

What is Mosadaqa?
The official attestation of your degree by the Saudi Arabian Cultural Bureau in London. It confirms the degree is genuine and from a recognised institution, for use in Saudi Arabia.
Do I need Mosadaqa for my Saudi work visa?
It depends on your occupation and visa route. Some roles need Mosadaqa, some need QVP or SVP instead, and the Investor Work Visa doesn’t need it. If your degree was already verified by the Cultural Bureau, you may not need it again.
How much does Mosadaqa cost?
£275 per degree, for UK or non-UK degrees. Extra steps for non-UK degrees are quoted separately. Mosadaqa is included in our £1,225 Saudi Work Visa package where it applies.
How long does Mosadaqa take?
Usually 4–6 weeks. The Cultural Bureau’s processing can’t be speeded up, so start as early as you can, alongside QVP if you need both.
Which degrees are accepted?
Bachelor’s degrees from recognised institutions, UK or non-UK, from standard on-campus programmes. Distance-learning, online-only and honorary degrees, diplomas and HNDs are not accepted.
Can I attest my Master’s or PhD without my Bachelor’s?
No. Degrees are attested in order, starting with the Bachelor’s. Each level is a separate attestation at £275.
Can I get Mosadaqa for a degree from outside the UK?
Yes. The Cultural Bureau may first want legalisation or Saudi Embassy attestation in the country of issue, and a translation if the documents aren’t in English or Arabic. We assess each case and quote those steps separately.
What documents are needed?
A colour scan of your passport photo page, your Bachelor’s degree certificate and full transcript, plus a signed consent form and an application form, which we provide.
Is Mosadaqa the same as QVP?
No. Mosadaqa attests your degree through the Cultural Bureau. QVP checks your qualifications and experience against the profession you’re sponsored for. Depending on your route you may need one, both or neither.
Do I need to visit the Cultural Bureau?
No. We handle the application and follow-up for you.
What if my Mosadaqa is refused?
We find out why, most often a missing transcript, poor scans or an unrecognised institution, and help you correct it and resubmit. Checking everything before submission makes refusals much less likely.
