ACRO Police Certificate Apostille UK

Apostille from £59 — next-day service from £79

Applying for a visa, residency or emigration? Many countries require your ACRO Police Certificate to be officially apostilled before they will accept it. We make that simple — we obtain the FCDO apostille on your behalf so your document is recognised abroad, without the stress of doing it yourself. Don’t have your ACRO certificate yet? We can also apply for it on your behalf — just get in touch.

Please keep in mind that we don’t issue apostilles ourselves. We specialise in guiding your ACRO certificate through the correct official channels quickly and accurately, so you avoid the rejections and delays that catch most people out.

What is an ACRO Police Certificate apostille?

An ACRO Police Certificate is issued by the ACRO Criminal Records Office and confirms your criminal record status. It is one of the most commonly requested documents for visa, immigration and emigration applications around the world.

An apostille is an official certificate added by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) confirming your document is genuine, so it can be accepted in any country that is a member of the Hague Apostille Convention.

Don’t have your ACRO certificate yet? We can apply for it for you

If you haven’t yet obtained your ACRO Police Certificate, you don’t need to apply separately and then come back to us. We can submit the ACRO application on your behalf, then apostille the certificate once it’s issued — so the whole process is handled in one place. Get in touch and we’ll talk you through the options, timescales and costs for your situation.

How it works

  • Send your original ACRO Police Certificate to our team so we can check it meets the requirements.
  • We submit your document to the FCDO for the apostille.
  • Your apostilled certificate is returned to you, ready to use abroad.

We handle the entire process and keep you updated at every step.

Pricing

  • Standard apostille (3–5 working days): £59 per document
  • Next-day apostille (next working day, received before 10am): £79 per document

Who needs an ACRO Police Certificate apostille?

  • Applying for a work visa, residence permit or emigration (e.g. Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the USA or the Gulf).
  • Registering with a professional body overseas.
  • Asked by a foreign employer or immigration authority to prove your criminal record status.

Good to know

Please send the ORIGINAL certificate. Many countries will only accept an ACRO certificate issued recently — often within the last three to six months — so check the date before you start. Make sure you have the ACRO Police Certificate (the one used for immigration), not a basic disclosure. If you’re unsure, send it to us and we’ll advise.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Can you apply for the ACRO certificate for me?
A: Yes. If you don’t have your ACRO certificate yet, we can apply on your behalf and then apostille it once issued. Contact us for details.

Q: Do I need to send the original?
A: Yes, please send the original ACRO Police Certificate.

Q: How long does it take?
A: Standard service is 3–5 working days. For documents received before 10am, our next-day service returns it the next working day.

Q: Will it be accepted in my destination country?
A: An apostille is recognised by all member countries of the Hague Apostille Convention. If your destination requires full embassy legalisation instead, we can arrange that too.
